Installing ttf-mscorefonts-installer caused me problems because I couldn’t click to acknowledge I read the agreement. After a bit of research I discovered that shift + tab worked to highlight it, then I just clicked enter.
If you click out of Terminal beforehand you will need to enter the following, in Terminal:
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get install –reinstall ttf-mscorefonts-installer
