An Equalizer for Rhythmbox

Surprisingly Rhythmbox does not include an equalizer by default. Here are the directions for installing a 10 band equalizer plugin for Rhythmbox. It works in Linux Mint 13 and Ubuntu 12.04.

First you need to add the PPA. Open Terminal and type:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fossfreedom/rhythmbox-plugins

Enter password. After it is done, type:

sudo apt-get update

Then to install the plugin, type:

sudo apt-get install rhythmbox-plugin-equalizer

Start Rhythmbox, enable the Equalizer plugin.
Start the Equalizer from the Control main-menu
